SASSA Will Take Expert Services to Fernie Neighborhood

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers on the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering companies like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it is actually alarmed with regards to the large amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a large variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The services issue developed for intervention encounters a significant inflow of potential beneficiaries, that makes it tough for that office to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more assets to empower the servicing of all SRD consumers and increase entry to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
